These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShiftGlitch ("the Platform", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using ShiftGlitch you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 13 years old to use ShiftGlitch. By using the Platform you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
You may access ShiftGlitch by signing in through a supported identity provider (Google, GitHub, Apple, X, or Email via Replit Auth). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at admin@shiftglitch.com.
ShiftGlitch offers a free tier and a paid tier called Netrunner Pro, as well as a School License for institutions.
Pro packs are non-refundable once payment is confirmed. Because packs are one-time purchases with immediate Pro activation, no pro-rated refunds are available. School Licenses are non-refundable after onboarding is completed. To request a refund in exceptional circumstances, contact admin@shiftglitch.com.
You agree not to:
ShiftGlitch and all associated branding, design, software, and content are owned by Lourens Breytenbach and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without prior written permission.
Content you create using the Platform (notes, flashcards, study data) remains yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process it solely to provide the service.
ShiftGlitch includes AI-powered study tools using the Google Gemini API. AI outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying any information produced by AI features before relying on it academically. We are not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce specific academic outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShiftGlitch and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at admin@shiftglitch.com.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify users by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
